We are now just a few weeks away from the highly-anticipated Bluey Season 3 finale, and when we say this one has been years in the making – we mean that in more ways that one.
This final trailer for the April 14th finale which is being touted as the longest episode of Bluey ever has just dropped, and it tells us everything we need to know about what to expect when this episode arrives. If you prefer to be surprised, we suggest you stop reading here. Otherwise, it’s all fair game – so let’s see what Bluey has in store for us and what “The Sign” is all about!
Check out the final trailer below:
What’s “The Sign” About?
As many were hoping, “The Sign” is going to spotlight a wedding – but not just any wedding. At long last, Rad and Frisky will tie the knot in this 28-minute-long spectacular. Joining the event as flower girls are Bluey, Bingo, Muffin, and Socks, who look extra cute with their flower crowns on their cylindrical heads.
However, Bluey seems a bit upset at the start of the trailer, as we hear someone’s voice (possibly Calypso) letting her know “Everything will work out the way it’s supposed to.” What’s the cause of her sadness? That is still to be determined, but based on early rumors, the Heelers may be moving out of their current home and headed somewhere else.
Regardless of the home situation, it’s now completely confirmed that Rad and Frisky will say their vows, and Bluey fans are beyond excited for this news! This couple first met in Season 2’s “Double Babysitter,” where they bonded over shampoo. They were next seen in “Christmas Swim” enjoying a vacation together while the Heelers partied at Trixie and Stripe’s house with the family. Fast forward to the end of Season 3, and this pair is ready to make things official.
Besides getting ready for wedding bells to chime, we see the family sprucing up an outdoor area, trekking to the location, and doing whatever they can to make Rad and Frisky’s special day as perfect as possible. If you cry at weddings, don’t forget to have your tissue box handy for this one. It might be a sunny afternoon for the Heelers, but there’s going to be a downpour in front of your TV screen.
What’s Next After The Bluey Season 3 Finale?
In addition to the finale on the 14th, fans will be treated to an additional episode on April 7 titled “Ghostbasket.” Little is known about this one, but it’s expected to set up the events happening in “The Sign” and potentially cue us in for what the future of the series may hold.
As for the future of the Australian animated series, little is known about those plans. The showrunners have already stated they’re taking a break from the show before supposedly starting work on the fourth season. However, that could be a red herring, and maybe this wedding is the beginning of the end. Let’s hope that’s not the case, because this massive event truly opens up the world of Bluey for some exciting new stories!
Ludo Studio recently announced they’re working on a new animated series called Willy, which is intended for older audiences. It wouldn’t be a shock if their resources were pointed in the direction of this cartoon while it’s under production, and we at Bluey News hope the series is just as engaging as this websites’ namesake. Many adult fans have wondered what it would be like to have a Bluey time jump, and Willy might be an example of what a show targeted for that age range could look like.
