Bluey’s First Mobile App Is All About Telling Stories

If you have kids, you’ve probably seen every episode of Bluey about eighty times. If you’re an adult without kids, you’ve probably watched them 11,000 times (self included among those ranks). By the time season three concludes, there will be around 150 episodes of the show, yet somehow it doesn’t feel like enough. According to an announcement that came out this week, this new app will let you bring Bluey wherever you want while telling your own stories.

Described by the developer as a “Fun, easy & calm kids learning game” for all ages, “Bluey: Let’s Play” is the first mobile app game for the popular Australian animated series. This interactive game will allow players to play with the characters from the show all over the house and other locations while crafting your own narrative. It’s being marketed like an interactive story time, giving gamers complete control over how their tale starts and ends.

The game will feature the voice of Melanie Zanetti AKA Chilli, although we don’t know at this time if the voices of other characters will be included as well. Speaking of, in addition to the Heeler household, members of their extended family like Muffin and Socks, as well as some of Bluey’s friends will also appear in the game.

The game will be available to play on the Apple App StoreGoogle Play and Amazon Appstore starting on August 15, 2023.
