If it felt like it took forever for Bluey’s third season to come to a conclusion, you’re not wrong. The most recent season premiered in Australia back in 2021, and arrived to the United States and other countries nearly a year later. Making it more tedious, the season was broken up into odd chunks, resulting in batches of episodes being released with no rhyme or reason. It’s been a struggle to be a Bluey fan these past few years, one that taught many of us a valuable life lesson in patience. But, we don’t want life lessons – we want ice cream!
Luckily, fans finally have an answer regarding when new episodes are coming, and the good news is – the wait is nearly over! Almost a year since Bluey Season 3B debuted in the US and this most recent group aired in The Land Down Under, Bluey Season 3C is almost here! Even better – there’s a special surprise that is going to make fans even happier than they thought!
When are the new episodes of Bluey Season 3 Arriving In The US?
The news broke thanks to this official press release from Disney, who announced the international (in this case, beyond Australia) release dates for its platforms.
Ten all-new episodes of the Bluey will arrive January 12, 2024 on Disney+, with the new episodes airing on Disney Channel and Disney Junior in territories around the world at a later date to be announced in 2024. In other words, TV viewers will have to wait a little bit longer than those with the streaming service, but the countdown has just become much smaller with this announcement.
The episodes from Season 3C, which already aired in its native homeland months ago, will include:
“Cubby” – Bluey and Bingo build a very special cubby for their stuffed toy, Kimjim.
“Exercise” – Bingo pretends to be Boss Bluey’s new employee in the middle of Dad’s backyard workout.
NOTE: This episode was censored immediately after airing in Australia, so Americans and other international viewers will never see the parts that were changed due to controversy in its home country.
“Relax” – Bluey and Bingo would rather explore their holiday hotel room than relax on the beach.
“Stickbird” – On a trip to the beach, Mum teaches Bluey how to throw, while Bingo and Dad get creative with a funny shaped stick.
“Show and Tell” – Bluey wants to know why Dad’s always bossing her around!
“Dragon” – Bluey asks Dad to help her draw a dragon for her story.
“Wild Girls” – Coco wants to play Wild Girls with Indy, but Chloe wants her to play another game.
“TV Shop” – At the pharmacy, Bluey and Bingo have fun playing with the CCTV screens.
“Slide” – Bingo and Lila are excited to play on their new waterslide.
“Cricket” – During a friendly game of neighborhood cricket, the dads struggle to bowl Rusty out.
NOTE: “Cricket” is arguably the most anticipated episode from this batch, as it was voted Australia’s favorite episode of Bluey last month during Bluey Fest. I can’t wait for American fans to watch this one and see how they react to it!
Lastly, the press release mentioned later in 2024, “Disney+ fans will have even more new Bluey to look forward to, when the previously announced first-ever Bluey special, “The Sign,” will premiere on ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) in Australia and globally on Disney+. The 28-minute special is penned by Bluey creator and writer Joe Brumm and directed by Richard Jeffery from Ludo Studio.”
This is some huge news, meaning there is even more Bluey to look forward to next year! Best of all, we are about to get the longest episode in the history of the show. This is something many older fans have asked for, particularly those interested in the world-building aspects of the series and its expanded lore. The title is pretty vague and could mean anything, and we know how close to the chest Bluey’s creators play things when it comes to hints and teases of info. There is also zero information about how long non-Aussie fans will have to wait to watch this finale, making this even more nerve-wracking. Your answers to those questions is as good as mine, since these are the only facts we have about the situation, but I’ll be super excited to see it when it finally does arrive.
Stay tuned as we find out more about this surprise season 3 finale, and what it might be about!
